The pilot Carse of Gowrie Orchard Festival 2008 aims to provide local businesses and orchard owners with the opportunity to display and promote their locally-produced food and drink in a way that interest all ages. A number of events are planned including a Family Fruit Planting weekend, The Glendoick Apple Weekend, School Orchard Days and a cider making course. The project will also produce a booklet on the Traditional Orchards of Tayside.
