 Description: 

The project aim is to develop The Scottish Crannog Centre as a cultural and heritage asset. Development work will improve the structure of the reconstructed iron-age crannog on Loch Tay. Certificated training (chain saw and first aid) and on the job training from expert vernacular building specialists will be given to three local residents, who will then be employed for on-going maintenance and future development work. The visitor experience will also be enhanced by escorted tours around the outside of the building. Computer aided design will be used to track the new works and will contribute to knowledge base on vernacular building.
