Marketing for the Retreat - Looking to the Future

 Organisation: Glenesk Trust
Project Title: Marketing for the Retreat - Looking to the Future (L1RTLAG060)
 Description:

The Glen Esk Trust has successfully managed the rebuilding of the Glen Esk Retreat, a folk museum, tearoom and meeting place and has been actively involved in developing the museum, a nature trail with interpretative signage, a website and a range of events. As part of its promotion and marketing strategy the Trustees would like to make visitors to the area aware of the role the Retreat can play in helping them to enjoy the area and attract new visitors. The Trustees want to produce a new dedicated leaflet for the Retreat which highlights the new developments and is written and illustrated with photographs by glen residents, a large sign for the entrance to signal and welcome visitors as well as T-shirts and postcards with a logo to raise awareness of the Retreat and Glen Esk as a destination in the Angus Glens and Cairngorms National Park. The leaflet will be distributed throughout Tayside, Moray, Aberdeenshire and Perthshire with a special inclusion of the leaflet in 'bedroom folders' at accommodation venues, encouraging visitors to plan a visit to the Retreat as part of their stay in the area.
