Forms of Narrative Exhibition and Workshops
| Organisation: | Perthshire Visual Arts Forum |
| Project Title: | Forms of Narrative Exhibition and Workshops (L1RTLAG053) |
| Description: |
This project is focused on developing and extending the contemporary visual art exhibition, Forms of Narrative, at Birnam Arts venue 1st to 30th October 2009. The exhibition will offer artists and the wider community the creative stimulation of seeing high quality art in a rural location, and the opportunity to participate in both community focused and professional development workshops. The project will build on links with artists in Lithuania by exhibiting their work with a view to developing an exchange next year, exhibit works by workshop leaders and run various workshops. The professional development workshops focused on local artist will include: bookbinding using ecological and experimental techniques, animation, illustration, stone lettering/carving, learning techniques, stencil making, video structuring, filming and editing a 'set' using a single camera. Also 3 dimensional papermaking and bronze casting. Community workshops (run in partnership with PKC Arts Development Team) will involve both community and schools groups. Each workshop theme will be linked to the Forms of Narrative exhibition and connect the participants with the artwork that they can see and the artists who are involved in the project. |
