Application Process

To make an application for LEADER funding you should first complete an Enquiry Form with contact information and basic project details.

The information submitted will be reviewed and the eligibility assessed and if the project is eligible for funding, you will be invited to complete a full Application form and will be provided with further guidance.

It is possible to submit a draft application for further comment before finalising your application. Wherever possible, you will be encouraged to complete and submit forms electronically.

At any stage of the process, you can contact the Project Coordinator or Administrator who will be happy to discuss your project proposals and ideas, provide further information or answer any queries.

Final applications for LEADER funding will be assessed initially by members of the Project Appraisal Advisory Group (PAAG) and will be presented to the Local Action Group (LAG) for consideration at one of their quarterly meetings. A list of meeting dates can be found below.

You will be informed of the outcome following the meeting. If your project has been successful and you accept the grant award, the programme Coordinator will meet with you at your project base to discuss the claims process and monitoring arrangements.
